Halloween Painting Party: Black Cat Moon

Take your Halloween creativity to the next level with local artist Laura Frohm. During this session, participants will paint a black cat basking in the moonlight. Halloween Parade

Join us for our seventh annual Halloween Parade at Edgebrook Branch, and come dressed in your best costume! Branch manager Jenny Reynolds will share a not-so-scary Halloween story with your little ghouls and goblins, and they will dance to some fang-tastic Halloween music. After story time, Jenny will parade the attendees around the library in their Halloween finery, and they will collect sweet treats. There will also be non-food options available for children with food allergies. Don't forget to check out the trick-or-treat stations in the parking lot, which will contain some of Jenny's favorite Halloween inflatables. Trick-or-Treat bags will be handed out to participants while supplies last. For children 3 to 13 and their families.The parking lot will be closed on Saturday, October 19 for the event. We will wear headlamps as we paddle down the beautiful landscape of the Chicago River. Children must be at least three years of age and children under 35 lbs will need to bring their own life vest.
