For many of the young people enrolled in our studio courses, Art Fair is their first opportunity to exhibit and sell art. Each artist receives 75% of their sale with all remaining proceeds directly supporting Marwen's no-cost programming and creative work. Over the past 20 years, Art Fair has generated over $1.1 million while returning more than $160,000 in art sales directly to participating artists. Art Fair is where all facets of Marwen come together to showcase what we believe in: the power of art and community to nurture phenomenal human beings.

This Is Life Chicago’s Trunk or Treat is a free, family-friendly community event providing children and families with a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween. Families can enjoy decorated cars, candy, costumes, community resources, and activities while bringing the community together in a positive and welcoming environment.

Prospective families, join us for an Open House from 2 pm - 3 pm. Meet our teachers and tour the classrooms. Afterward, stop by Boo Bash from 3 pm - 5 pm! A trunk-or-treat event where you can meet current families.

Halloween Theme Dinner Party: ‘Pythons and Pizza Party' Children will be served cheese pizza, juice box or water, and vanilla ice cream for dessert. After dinner children and parents will be entertained by a Halloween themed educational reptile show performed by the JG Reptile Road Show. Children will learn about different species of snakes, lizards, and even an alligator. Children are encouraged to come in their Halloween costume, and everyone will receive Halloween Trick or Treat bags at the end of the event.
