Arts and Crafts: Learning Lines and Textures

  • Chicago Public Library - Garfield Ridge 6348 South Archer Avenue Chicago, IL, 60638 United States (map)

Children can drop by this fall and make a collage exploring lines and textures. Celebrating the artwork of American and Mexican artist, Elizabeth Catlett, children will create a textured collage using various materials. The object is to create a unique piece of art, focusing on family or something they are passionate about. Children can also draw a picture on scratch art. The Artist's Studio at the Library provides family art-making opportunities designed in partnership with the Art Institute of Chicago. For ages 6 and up.
