The Halloween Parade is back again! Come dressed in your best costume! Branch manager Jenny Reynolds shares a Halloween story with your little ghouls and goblins in the second floor reading room, and they dance to some fang-tastic Halloween music. After story time, Jenny parades the attendees around the library in their Halloween finery, and they collect sweet treats. There are also non-food options available for children with food allergies. Don't forget to check out the trick-or-treat stations in the parking lot, which contain some of Jenny's favorite inflatables from her personal collection. Trick-or-Treat bags will be handed out to participants while supplies last. For children ages 3 to 13 and their families. The parking lot is closed on Saturday, October 21 for the event. No parked cars are allowed. Please dress appropriately for the weather because part of this event takes place outside. The parade will be held rain or shine. How to Attend: This event takes place in person. Masks are strongly encouraged in all CPL locations. Please register at least 24 hours in advance. Chicago Public Library cannot collect personal information online from kids 0 to 13. A parent or guardian’s email address must be used to register. As a reminder, school email addresses may block external emails such as those from CPL. Include the total number of children as attendees when you register. Adults do not need to register.
